Ukraine Secure Bronze With a Thrashing 7-1 Victory
Abakshyn starred as Ukraine won the 3rd place play-off against France at the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2024 to secure bronze.
The third-place play-off was played between Ukraine and France at the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2024 on Sunday. Both teams played attacking futsal right from the start, but eventually it was Ukraine who came out victorious to secure the Bronze medal.
Danyil Abakshyn was the star of the day for Ukraine and scored a brilliant hat-trick to see his team through. Yevhenii Zhuk scored a brace while Ihor Cherniavskyi and Mykhailo Zvarych were also among the goal scorers.
France looked competitive in the first period of play and went into half-time trailing with one goal only. But it was Ukraine’s show in the second half to claim a thrashing 7-1 victory over the debutants.
Brazil will play Argentina in the Futsal World Cup Final tonight to decide the tournament winner and the runners-up.
