The highly anticipated FIFA Futsal World Cup is just around the corner, and you must be waiting anxiously for the Futsal World Cup 2024 schedule and fixtures. After the 2024 Futsal World Cup Draw, the groups have been finalized, and we now have a clear picture of how the event will unfold. As we bring you all the details about the tournament schedule and complete 2024 Futsal World Cup fixtures, gear up to witness heart-pounding action right from the beginning of the world event on September 14.

Let’s explore everything you need to know about how the Futsal World Cup 2024 groups were decided and when your favorite Futsal teams will play their group stage matches.

The 2024 Futsal World Cup draw took place on the 26th of May 2024 at the historic Registan Square in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. Former Spanish Futsal player Kike Boned, former France and Manchester United striker Louis Saha, and former Uzbek footballer Server Djeparov graced the event with their presence. The guests also assisted with the draw.

To decide the six groups for the world event, the 24 teams were placed in four Pots of six teams each. Uzbekistan – the hosts – were seeded to Pot 1 and were the first team to go in Group A. The draw seed was based on the recently announced FIFA Futsal World Rankings.

Here’s how the Teams were seeded to the pots.

Pot 1

  • Uzbekistan
  • Brazil
  • Portugal
  • Spain
  • IR Iran
  • Argentina

Pot 2

  • Morocco
  • Kazakhstan
  • Thailand
  • France
  • Ukraine
  • Paraguay

Pot 3

  • Croatia
  • New Zealand
  • Venezuela
  • Afghanistan
  • Costa Rica
  • Tajikistan

Pot 4

  • Netherlands
  • Guatemala
  • Panama
  • Angola
  • Libya
  • Cuba

To allocate the teams into Futsal World Cup groups, Server Djeparov drew team names from the pots one by one, starting from Pot 1. Kike and Saha drew from the group bowls after each pick from Djeparov to allocate a group position to the respective team. This way all the teams were drawn, and six groups for the event were populated.

The Draw event also showcased Uzbek culture through colorful dance performances and traditional music. If you missed the live event, you can still Watch Futsal World Cup 2024 Draw on FIFA+ official website.
