Argentina vs France Highlights Futsal World Cup 2024
Argentina held their nerves till the end to edge France and earn themselves a place in the FIFA Futsal World Cup Final against Brazil. The game against their arch-rivals is perceived to be the biggest final in the history of the tournament.
Kevin Arrieta bagged a brace to see Argentina through and was the most impressive of the lot. The game started at an electrifying pace, and it didn’t take long for Argentina to score their first goal. Alan Brandi drew a foul and Arrieta scored on the penalty in the third minute.
Only three minutes later, Nicolas Menendez scored for France to level the scores again. Within two minutes, Angel Claudino scored for Argentina to regain the advantage after Arrieta displayed some mercurial skills.
Argentina went into the break leading with one goal, but it didn’t take long for France to equalize again courtesy of a brilliant strike on the rebound from Mamadou Toure. With only three minutes remaining in the game, Arrieta scored again for Argentina on a double penalty and took La Albiceleste into the final.
Argentina will face Brazil in the final on Sunday, while France will play Ukraine for the third place.
