Guatemala Squad Futsal World Cup 2024
Five World Cup participations but never getting past the group stage, the mega event hasn’t been so great for Guatemala. However, they do have a few wins under their belt and would like to start their Futsal World Cup 2024 campaign on a positive note. Their players showed great intent at the continental qualifying tournament where they finished third, and many of them have made it to the Guatemala Squad Futsal World Cup 2024. So, they’d want to improve their World Cup record in Uzbekistan.

Guatemala rely a lot on their strong midfield play, and their midfield men displayed brilliant skills recently in the World Cup Qualifiers. Both Roberto Alvarado and Marvin Sandoval scored 7 goals each at the CONCACAF Futsal Championship 2024, while Sandoval also won the Top Scorer award at the event. Add Patrick Ruiz to the list, and Guatemala have a perfect combo in the middle.
However, Guatemala need to improve their defensive play, if they want to challenge the big teams at the World Cup. A lot will depend on Jenner Paniagua and Alan Aguilar as far as their defense is concerned, and expectations will be high for sure. Can they live up to the expectations of their team and the fans?
