UEFA Futsal Champions League Main Round Results: Barça Hit Eleven, Sporting CP Thrash Olmissum as Last 16 Is Set

The UEFA Futsal Champions League main round ended in style on Saturday, October 31, as the final round of group games confirmed the 16 teams through to the knockout stage. Barça produced the performance of the day, thrashing hosts Lučenec 11-0 in Slovakia, while holders Sporting CP ran riot in Croatia with a 9-1 win over Olmissum.

In Group 1, Barça completed a perfect main-round campaign with three wins from three, scoring 23 goals and conceding just two. Their 11-0 demolition of Lučenec was the biggest win of the week, with Roger Garcia and Adolfo both scoring twice. Kazakhstan’s Semey took second place after beating Swiss side Futsal Minerva 5-1, and Minerva still squeezed through in third — a historic first last-16 appearance for a Swiss club, who will also host May’s final tournament.

Anderlecht win the Group 2 decider

Group 2 was decided in Roosdaal, where hosts Sporting Anderlecht beat two-time champions Kairat Almaty 8-3 to finish top of the group. Kairat still progressed in second, while Latvian debutants TFK Beitar took third after their 5-0 forfeit win over United Galați, who had withdrawn from the competition. All three sides advance to the round of 16, where the draw will be made on Wednesday, November 4.

In Group 3, holders Sporting CP underlined their title credentials with a 9-1 thrashing of hosts Olmissum in Omiš. Stalitsa Minsk claimed second place after beating Étoile Lavalloise 3-1, scoring twice in the final minute to knock out last season’s semi-finalists. Olmissum held on to third place despite the heavy defeat, and all three go through.

Group 4 finished with Benfica on top after a 7-1 win over hosts Tigers Roermond. HIT Kyiv took second place thanks to a 2-0 win over ElPozo Murcia, who still progressed in third. It means all three of the group’s big names — Benfica, HIT Kyiv and two-time runners-up Murcia — are through to the knockouts.

Torino and Athletic win the Path B deciders

In Path B, where only each group winner advances, the two remaining deciders both went to the hosts and debutants. In Group 7, L84 Torino beat Luxol St Andrews 4-1 in Leinì to complete a perfect three-win campaign, conceding just one goal all week. In Group 8, Athletic Futsal of Ukraine edged fellow unbeaten side Chrudim to top spot after a 3-2 win over hosts Loznica, while Chrudim drew 1-1 with Graz. They join Piast Gliwice and Kauno Žalgiris, who had already won Groups 5 and 6 on Friday, in the last 16.

What happens next

The full last-16 lineup is now set: Barça, Semey and Minerva from Group 1; Anderlecht, Kairat and Beitar from Group 2; Sporting CP, Stalitsa and Olmissum from Group 3; Benfica, HIT Kyiv and ElPozo from Group 4; plus Path B winners Piast, Kauno, Torino and Athletic. The round of 16 and quarter-final draw takes place on November 4, with the two-legged round of 16 ties played on November 23 and December 4. The four-team finals will be held from May 7 to 9, 2027, at the Biel/Bienne Arena in Switzerland — and with the holders, four-time champions Barça and a host of former winners still in the mix, the road to Switzerland promises to be a thriller.
