Morocco vs Tajikistan Highlights Futsal World Cup 2024
The team that had a mind-boggling 50-match winning streak not so long ago started their World Cup campaign in style. The game started at the Humo Arena, and even before the opposition could warm up, Otmane Boumezou struck to make the Atlas Lions go 1-0 up. It was only 23 seconds on the clock – the fastest goal ever by an African Futsal player in the World Cup.
Despite their early lead, Tajikistan kept testing them and no more goals were scored in the first half. In the 29th minute, Boumezou struck again to make it 2-0 for Morocco.
Though Rizomov reduced the deficit 5 minutes later, Morocco took advantage of their attacking play and struck two quick goals in the 37th and 38th minute. Sardorov scored the consolation goal for Tajikistan, but it was nothing more than that.
Abdelkrim Anbia was declared the MVP for this game, being the wall that kept the Persian Lions from scoring despite pressing too hard. Morocco will play Panama in their next game, while Tajikistan will be up against Portugal.
