Argentina vs Ukraine Highlights Futsal World Cup 2024
Argentina made a great comeback in their opening game at the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2024, dominating Ukraine to a 7-1 victory.
Both teams looked solid in the beginning, but it was Ihor Cherniavskyi masterclass that helped Ukraine open the scoring in the 18th minute. He glided past a couple of Argentineans to send the ball to Shoturma who pushed the ball in with a sublime toe-poke.
However, that was the only moment to cherish for the Ukrainians as Argentina came back strongly. Only a minute later, they earned a penalty, and Arrieta converted. Argentina didn’t even have to wait for a minute to get into the lead, as Alan Brandi’s sent the pulses racing with his eye-popping flick.
It was all Argentina afterward, as Matias Rosa, Cristian Borruto, and Lucas Bolo registered their names on the score sheet. Borruto and Arrieta bagged a brace. Argentina will face Afghanistan, and Ukraine will be up against Angola in their next fixtures on Wednesday.
