The Netherlands put up a great fight against Ukraine to secure a spot in the last 8, until Andrii Melnyk double strike shattered their dream.
Ukraine got an early lead through a brilliant strategic move as Zvarych sent the ball in. After that both teams tried hard but couldn’t get a goal.
In the 29th minute, Netherlands equalized when Ayoub Boukhari sent a brilliant pass from the left flank to Said Bouzambou right in front of the goal. Bouzambou struck it powerfully to beat the goalkeeper and equalized for the Netherlands.
Only two minutes later, Melnyk received a pass from their flying goalkeeper, and he artistically beat the advancing opponent goalkeeper to send the ball in. He scored his second in the last minute of the game with a powerful strike.
Ukraine will play their Quarter-Final in Tashkent on Sunday against Venezuela.
