France Beat Turkmenistan 9-1 in Dubai
France secured a dominating victory against Turkmenistan in its penultimate preparation friendly ahead of the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2024.
The French Futsal team played the first of the two friendly matches scheduled in Dubai on Sunday. Les Blues dominated the Turkmen team and played like champions. The teams didn’t look a match at any point in the game, and Les Blues were clearly far superior in their skills and execution.

It was a one-sided affair in which France took the lead early in the game courtesy of a low shot from Ouassini Guirio. The early strike shook the already clumsy Turkmen team, and Kevin Ramirez’s men started pressing further. Arthur Tchaptchet scored the second goal for France in the 12 minute, and Abdessamad Mohammed further strengthened their lead four minutes later.
With three goals cushion, there was no looking back for Les Blues as they kept scoring at regular intervals. Nicolas Mendez and Sid Belhaj scored back-to-back in the 19th minute to make it 5-0 for France.
In the second half, Nicolas Mendez scored two more goals while a goal each was scored by Mamadou Toure and Kevin Ramirez. Durliyew scored the only goal for Turkmenistan.
This massive victory will definitely have restored the confidence of the French player who were coming from a 5-3 defeat against Argentina last week. Before heading to their debut Futsal World Cup in Uzbekistan, France will play their last preparation match against Saudi Arabia on September 9. Les Blues will play their first match in the World Cup against Guatemala on September 16.
