Argentina Beat France 5-3 in the First International Friendly in Orleans

Argentina faced France in the first of the two friendly internationals ahead of the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2024 at the CO’Met Arena in Orleans. The visitors pressed hard right from the beginning but had little luck, as France scored the first two goals of the game. In what could be described as an eventful turnaround, Argentina stunned the home team with a 5-3 defeat.

It was the first victory for the Albiceleste on French soil, and only their third game against France in the history of the sport. They made it worth remembering with an impactful performance.

Lucas Bolo bagged a brace for Argentina while Ángel Claudino scored three goals for the visitors. It was an uphill chase after the home team scored the first two goals, but sheer brilliance from the Argentinean duo brought them a victory they’ll be proud of.

Argentina have a decent World Cup record, winning the title at Colombia 2016 and finishing runners-up in Lithuania in 2021. They’d be looking to bag their second title at Uzbekistan 2024.

Argentina are drawn into Group C at the World Cup with Ukraine, Afghanistan, and Angola. France will be playing Guatemala, Venezuela, and IR Iran in Group F at the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2024.
