Women’s Futsal EURO 2027 Playoff: Norway vs Finland — Dates, Times & Preview

Seven of the eight finalists are already known. The last ticket to the Women’s Futsal EURO 2027 finals will be decided by a two-legged play-off between Norway and Finland — and there is genuine history on the line for both sides.

Playoff dates, kick-off times and what’s at stake

First leg: Friday, November 20 — Norway vs Finland, 18:00 CET.

Second leg: Tuesday, November 24 — Finland vs Norway, 17:30 CET.

The winners join hosts Croatia plus Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, holders Spain and Sweden at the finals, which take place at Arena Gradski Vrt in Osijek from March 14 to 21, 2027. It will be the first eight-team edition of the tournament, and the finals draw follows on December 11 at 19:00 CET in Osijek.

Norway’s road here has been the story of qualifying. On their Women’s Futsal EURO debut, they won their main round group in Trondheim — beating Belarus 2-0, Kazakhstan 9-0 and Czechia 2-0 — then finished runners-up in elite round Group 4 in Bielsko-Biala, beating 2023 runners-up Ukraine 2-1 along the way. Andrea Holm Aune has led the scoring with six goals. If they get through, Norway would become the first Norwegian side ever to reach a UEFA futsal final tournament at any level.

Finland’s path was narrower but no less impressive. They finished runners-up in elite round Group 1 in Oliveira de Azemeis, beating Czechia 1-0 and the Netherlands 3-0 before a 3-0 defeat to Portugal in the group decider. Tiiu Lehtonen tops their scoring chart with three. Finland know heartbreak in qualifying all too well: they missed the 2025 Women’s World Cup when Poland equalised with 17 seconds left to pip them on goal difference.

What to expect

This has all the makings of a tight, low-margin tie. Norway carry the momentum of a dream debut campaign and a free-scoring attack, while Finland bring the organisation and experience of a side that has been knocking on the door for years. Over two legs there is no room for a slow start — the first leg in November could decide everything.
