Futsal AFCON 2026: Cambangula Hits Four as Angola Rout Tanzania 6-0 Into Semifinals

Angola stormed into the semifinals of the TotalEnergies CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026 with a devastating 6-0 win over debutants Tanzania at the Salle Moulay Abdellah in Rabat on Thursday.

The 2024 runners-up were ruthless from the first whistle. Hornes Santo struck twice inside the opening 13 minutes to set the tone, and then Joao Cambangula took over — scoring in the 18th and 19th minutes to give Angola a commanding 4-0 lead at half-time.

Cambangula was not done. He completed his four-goal haul with further strikes in the 35th and 36th minutes as Tanzania simply had no answer.

Statement performance

Angola have now scored 11 goals in two matches, following their 5-1 opening win over Mozambique. Like Egypt, they have sealed a semifinal spot with a game to spare — and like Egypt, they look every inch a team built for the knockout stage.

The Palancas Negras lost the 2024 final to hosts Morocco and have arrived in Rabat with clear revenge on their minds. If you are still learning the game, our futsal rules and regulations guide explains everything you need to know.

What next

Saturday’s Egypt vs Angola clash will decide the Group B winners, while Tanzania meet Mozambique with both sides looking to salvage some pride from their final group fixture.
