Portugal storm through into the Last 16 as group winners, thanks to a brilliant double strike from Bruno Coelho.
The Futsal heavyweights were up against each other with the quest to finish on the top of Group E at the Futsal World Cup 2024. Portugal were superior on the day and got an early advantage in only the second minute of the game and were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Coelho scored his second early in the second half. While Soufiane El Mesrar pulled one back late in the game, Zicky recovered the lead with one minute remaining in the match and ensured Jorge Braz’s Seleção win it comfortably in the end.
As both teams have qualified for the Round of 16, Portugal will now play Kazakhstan in Andijan. Morocco will be up against IR Iran on Thursday with the quest to reach the quarter-finals.
